CoolSculpting is a revolutionary method that eliminates unwanted body fat. Instead of surgery, this FDA-approved treatment is non-invasive and, therefore, safer. Although most people make excellent candidates for this procedure, you will need to sit down with one of our physicians for confirmation.
You will discuss your goals and treatment plan with the physician during your consultation. Typically, one procedure will eliminate roughly 20 percent body fat on the target area, and people achieve their desired results with just one CoolSculpting treatment. For more dramatic results, you can complete three or more treatments, usually over a six- to eight-week period.
The one aspect of CoolSculpting that everyone wants to know is how long it takes to recover. Fortunately, there is no recovery period per se: You can return to your normal activities the same day as your treatment, whether that means working, going to school, or even exercising.
After the procedure it is common to experience slight stiffness, which will usually go away in about 10 to 20 minutes. The treated area of the body will likely remain red for about 15 minutes once the physician removes the applicator. CoolScupting involves applying vacuum pressure, so immediately afterward, you may notice slight tenderness or bruising to that area; however, that should go away in one to two weeks.
CoolSculpting involves freezing fat cells on target areas of the body using controlled cold. For that reason, you may notice a dulling sensation after a procedure. As with the other “side effects” mentioned, this is perfectly normal. Usually, any numbness lasts only a few hours, although it can take up to six to eight weeks to fully regain sensation.
On rare occasions, people who undergo CoolSculpting experience more persistent redness, although this usually improves over the course of a few days; the same is goes for bruising.
Most often, any bruising is slight and disappears in a couple of days but occasionally, it can be more significant and longer lasting. At most, bruising will take about one week to fade.
While going through a CoolSculpting procedure, it is common to feel sensations like pinching, cramping, and tingling. After having a treatment, some people have those same sensations, which, like the other “side effects,” go away in one to two weeks.

"The treatment itself was not uncomfortable. Afterwords, I felt great. I didn't really notice anything for about 30 days. After day 30 until about a month later, I started noticing that my favorite jeans were not as tight anymore. I wasn't having to suck in to get them buttoned. And by that two month period after my CoolSculpting
"It's subtle at first, and then a month later you look and go, "Wow - It really did something!" It really moved the bar for me, and I'm feeling better about myself already. It feels so good to put on anything and know I look as good as I've ever looked. And I didn't say that or feel that when I was in my 20's, 30's, and 40's."
